Bangkok Motor Expo 2013 - Sony A7r with Leica 75mm f1.4 Summilux |
Since I have a day off last week I decided to swing by the 2013 Bangkok Motor Expo. I was deciding between two different lens to put on the Sony A7r, the 75mm f1.4 Summilux and the 90mm f2.8 Elmarit-R. Finally I decided on the Summilux for two reasons, since I am shooting without a flash the f1.4 might be needed and also the 90mm might be a bit too tight if I wanted to take photos that show the entire car.

In the end I am very happy that I chose this lens, its picture quality and the way it renders the out of focus areas is certainly superior to the 90mm Elmarit-R.

The size and handling of the lens is great as well. It is somewhat heavy though and on the Sony A7r it might be a bit front heavy, but only very slightly and it did not bother me too much at all.
