With some freetime I went out and took some test videos of some random flowers with the Sony a99. I tried a couple different settings, the first two clips the camera's contrast was set to -3 and saturation to -1. For the third and last clip both the contrast and saturation were set to -3. I also showed the clip before and after color grading.

Tokyo Sky Tree - Sony a7r Carl Zeiss 55mm f1.8 FE
A visit to the Tokyo Sky Tree, one of the tallest structures in the world (at the time of upload). There are two levels visitors can visit. The first is about 350 meters high and the ticket up costs about 2000 Yen. It consists of 3 levels with observation decks, cafes, shops and a glass floor area.
The first level is also where you can buy the ticket to go up to the second level, which is 451 meters high. This ticket costs 1000 Yen.
Some people might ask if it is worth visiting, and if so is it worth paying an extra 1000 Yen to go up to the second level. Personally I love views of large cities from a high vantage point, so for me it is definitely worth it. Being just 100 meters higher you might think that there would not be a significant difference in the view you will get but having visited both levels I can certainly say that there is and that it is probably worth going up another level, especially on a good day.

Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan in Japan. Apparently one of the biggest aquarium in the world, it is certainly the biggest one I have visited.

Cherry Blossoms at Shinjuku Gyoen Park Tokyo Japan - Sony a7r Carl Zeiss 55m f1.8 FE
Taken on a 2 hour visit to Shinjuku Gyoen Park during my trip to Tokyo Japan using the Sony a7r with Carl Zeiss 55mm f1.8 FE lens. I am just starting to get into video so I must apologize for the quality (not that my photos were that great either :p).
I really wished that I had a tripod or monopod with me. As it was, all the shots were taken handheld, and since neither the camera nor the lens has stabilization, the shots were shakier than I would have liked.
Shot in AVCHD at 50fps 1080p
The beautiful music is "I want to believe you" by Lori Carson.

Since they were quite uncertain about the situation regarding the big protest happening today, my workplace decided to give everyone a day off, with nothing better to do I decided to go out and take some pictures of what was going on.

I took the MRT (underground) to Sukhumvit station, which is one of the seven protest locations and wow was it completely packed. I could barely walk around.

Protesting is tiring business, a quick snack from a stall setup amongst the protesters should get my energy level up. Business is great for these vendors who setup stalls to sell all sorts of things from food, drinks and props.

...and after snacks maybe some ice-cream to cool down in the hot Sun.

I love this Thai flag beanie but it is boiling hot, I don't understand how she is wearing that thing. As they say, fashion is uncomfortable.

After just a couple of hours walking around I was completely exhausted, I got to give it to the people who are coming here day after day for hours on end, with some actually sleeping here.
